A paired device is a security relationship you review, suspend, or revoke.

Key points

  1. Pairing uses a QR code generated on the PC, with explicit approval on the PC before it becomes active.
  2. Each device receives distinct permissions: Unlock, Lock, View status, View devices.
  3. Permissions can be changed at any time and take effect immediately, with no new pairing.
  4. Suspending stops use temporarily; revoking ends trust and requires pairing again.
  5. The installed Android Companion can require local biometric confirmation on a compatible device: Android 11 or later with available strong biometrics.
