Temporary access

Two distinct mechanisms: a Web Companion flow opened by QR, and a recovery grant given to registered media.

Key points

  1. Web access by QR: the browser opens the Web Companion without installation. The Web flow initially receives all four permissions; choosing permissions during pairing applies to the installed Companion.
  2. The duration is selected on the PC: 24 hours may be preselected. The Single session option is not registered on the PC; other durations may be, and the browser may retain state for resuming access.
  3. Temporary recovery access: you grant registered media an access that is time-limited or valid until revoked.
  4. Available durations are 1 hour, 2 hours, 8 hours, 24 hours, or until revoked.
  5. Closing the Web Companion page does not revoke access. Review the duration and permissions on the PC; a temporary recovery grant remains revocable from the PC.
